New Resource Coming Soon! Nourishing Neighbors Mobile Markets and Food Boxes From Mountain Laurel Medical Center!

Mountain Laurel Medical Center is working to improve access to local foods in order to combat food insecurity in Garrett County! A new program, Nourishing Neighbors, is on the way, and additional details will be available soon.

About Nourishing Neighbors: It’s intended to be a one-stop-shop where community members can be nourished with fresh food, nourished with needed resources, and nourished with fruitful relationships and community connectedness in different areas in the region.  Emergency “pantry-to-go” bags and hygiene bags are available as well. Anyone who needs a resource not represented at that moment will be referred by the community relations specialist, who will conduct follow-up as needed to ensure the need gets taken care of. The exchanges will debut in June and run weekly (with a few exceptions) through early October.
